Event Log: NYE 2010
As always, a NYE event warrants that extra sparkle. This year we headed over to the Navnat Centre in Hayes where the Jain Social Group put together an evening of fun, food, games and dancing with an inspired and creative retro disco theme. This event log would simply not be complete without a mention for their dashing and glittery costumes, especially one very sparkly Elvis!
We arrived with 2 large car loads of equipment (the hall conveniently has its own powerful speaker system). After a quick unload and a rather energetic but lengthy set-up, we found ourselves with an impressive looking set-up with a great light show. Our CDJs and laptops were powered up, with several hundred CDs ready to go. (more…)
